Life on Marsh, Fractional | Equity-based | Path to full-time

Wetland restoration is becoming a regulated, investable asset class. Life on Marsh is building the MRV infrastructure that makes it measurable, auditable, and financeable. We combine IoT sensors, satellite remote sensing, and AI to produce the water and biodiversity data that restoration companies, corporates, and regulators actually need.

This is a new company stemming from the NGO Mission to Marsh (1M€ in corporate partnership, 230k sqm of wetland restored, partners like Patagonia & Tomorrow Bank).

We have a paid pilot, LOIs in hand, and a pre-seed raise underway. Now we need a senior hydrologist / environmental engineer who has delivered real projects, not just published papers.

What you will do:

• Help us build methodology credibility for VWBA, groundwater recharge, and water balance reporting
• Advise on active restoration projects: planning, field assessment, and water monitoring design
• Be the hydrological voice to advise us in client and investor conversations
• Grow into a full-time leadership role as we scale

What we are looking for:

• Senior hydrologist and/or environmental engineer with 8+ years experience in commercial companies (not only R&D).
• Experience with wetlands or peatlands, restoration planning and project management
• Experience with water accounting in commercial or regulatory contexts
• Bonus: experience with remote sensing or IoT monitoring, carbon / biodiversity MRV
• Germany-based preferred, remote considered

Compensation:

Equity-based now, fractional/full-time post-funding (based on your experience/preference/budget).
